June flowers and a busy Polytunnel

The weather's been absolutely fabulous, hot dry days with a warm breeze. Just perfect for tidying the garden. The flowers are a little late this year, but with the current weather there's been a sudden flurry of growth and colour, completely transforming the garden.

This week I've been tidying the front garden and it was so hot we moved the bench so we could sit in the shade. I love the little openings in the edges looking out onto the old croft houses and croft land beyond. It's just so peaceful sitting there with a glass of wine, listening to the birds tweeting and the bees buzzing. If you love nature Sand Ross is a haven for creatures of all sizes.

We've also been very busy updating the old polytunnel, we added a new cover and reinforced the sides to add mesh for better circulation. It's a great space to grow and potter in.

It didn't take long for the seeds to sprout and now the polytunnel is teaming with lots of lovely vegetables for summer and autumn. A great way to grow vegetables all year round.

Couldn't resist sharing another photo of the croft land in front of the house, with its old steading and sheep grazing in the sunlight.

Look who came to say hello, cute lambs with their mums. Rural life.... in Wester Ross.
